Where ads can appear

Advertising can appear below the navigation bar, between groups of results on browse pages, in the right-hand rail and at section breaks on project pages, at paragraph boundaries in long guides, and above the footer.

Where ads never appear

• Sign-in, registration, password reset and email confirmation pages.

• Account settings and any private dashboard.

• The submission flow.

• Moderation and administration screens.

• Error pages and empty result pages.

• Download and outbound redirect routes.

What advertising never does here

• Downloads never require an ad click, a countdown, a subscription or a sign-up.

• Ads are never disguised as download buttons and are always labelled.

• There are no pop-unders, no forced interstitials and no automatic ad refreshing.

• The site works normally with an ad blocker and with consent denied.

Current status

Whether any advertising is actually running depends on configuration. On a fresh install no advertising account is configured, every placement is switched off, and no ad requests are made.
