If your work has been posted without permission

Use the takedown form. It asks for your name and contact address, a link to the content here, a link to your original work, and an attestation that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them and that the report is accurate and made in good faith.

What happens next

• The request goes to the moderation queue with a timestamp.

• A moderator reviews it and can remove the content from public view while it is assessed.

• The creator is notified of the decision and the reason.

• The outcome and who decided it are recorded.

Removal and already-issued links

Removing content stops it appearing on the site and stops new download links being issued. Download links are short-lived, so a link issued moments before removal can still work until it expires. Removal also quarantines the stored file, which prevents any further link being issued for it.

Counter-notices

A creator who believes their content was removed in error can reply through their dashboard. Restored content is re-checked before it becomes downloadable again.

Misuse

Knowingly false takedown claims may result in account suspension.
